What do our slot reviews cover?
Each slot review answers the questions players ask before they spin: how much the game pays back on average, how bumpy it is, what the bonus rounds do, how big a win can get, and which casinos carry it. We write for US real money players aged 21 and over, and every review is checked against published sources.
A slot review on this site follows the same order every time, so you can compare games quickly:
- Key facts. Provider, reels and rows, lines or ways, bet range, RTP and max win, each with its source.
- How it plays. Base game, symbols and how often features seem to land in our sessions, described as impressions rather than statistics.

Where does the RTP in a slot review come from?
RTP comes from one of two places: the game's own info or help screen at the casino, or the provider's published game sheet. We record which source we used and the date we checked it. We never estimate RTP from our own play, because even thousands of spins are far too few to measure it.
The figure on the info screen is the one that matters to you, since it describes the version you are playing at that casino. If the info screen and the provider sheet disagree, we report both and tell you which one the casino shows. If neither is published, we say the RTP is not stated.

How do we judge a slot's volatility?
Volatility describes how a slot spreads its payouts. Low volatility games pay small amounts often. High volatility games pay rarely but in larger lumps. When a provider publishes a volatility rating, we use it. When it does not, we describe what we saw in our sessions and label it as our impression, not a measured figure.
- Low volatility: small, frequent wins
- High volatility: long dry runs, rare big wins
Volatility and RTP are separate. Two games with the same RTP can feel completely different, because one pays back through frequent small wins and the other through rare big ones. That is why we list both and explain what each means for your budget.
What volatility means for your budget
Example only: on a high volatility game, a session budget of 100 spins can disappear without a single feature. On a low volatility game, the same budget tends to last longer, with smaller wins along the way. Pick the style that matches the session you want.
How do we rate slot features and max win?
We describe each feature in plain terms: what triggers it, what it does, and whether it can be bought. For max win, we quote the provider's stated maximum as a multiple of your stake, and we note any cap the casino sets. A big max win is a ceiling, not a likely result.
- Free spins rounds. How many spins, whether they retrigger, and what extras apply during them.
- Multipliers and wilds. Where they appear and how they stack.
- Jackpots. Whether the prize is fixed or grows with play, and whether it is tied to one casino.
- Feature buys. The cost as a multiple of your stake, and whether the casino allows it.
